After earning law and graduate degrees, she returned home to serve in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, focusing on gun violence and reentry programs. Elected to Congress in 2018 in a major red-to-blue flip, she has championed infrastructure, affordability, and women’s rights, securing major federal investments for projects like the Gateway Tunnel.
