Background and Campaign Message

Jon Bramnick is a veteran public servant, attorney, and educator with over three decades of government experience in New Jersey. He began his political career on the Plainfield City Council and later served 18 years in the State Assembly, including five terms as Republican Leader. He currently represents the 21st Legislative District in the State Senate, where he was re-elected in 2023 despite his district’s strong Democratic lean, highlighting his bipartisan appeal.

In addition to his legislative work—focused on affordability, public safety, and local zoning control—Bramnick founded and built a successful law firm and taught business law at both Rider and Rutgers Universities. With degrees from Syracuse (Phi Beta Kappa) and Hofstra Law, he brings a strong academic and legal background to policy-making. As a gubernatorial candidate, he pledges to restore balance to Trenton and counter what he views as excessive mandates and overreach under one-party rule.
